Front board volume 1 is split lower joint. Cloth is chipped head and base of spines and worn on the corners. Library stamps on front paste downs both volumes. Red stamps and small purple library stamps on title pages. Small withdrawn stamps on front end sheets, title pages and dedication page volume 1. Old paper labels on spines. Soiling to the yellow end sheets volume 2. A few markings on the end sheets. Library check out label on the rear paste down volume 2. Gift inscription signed to the Washington and Jefferson College written on the dedication page volume 1 by the author. Gift inscription by the author written on the right front flyleaf of volume 2.
