The Men of the Whooper (signed)

From 1944, when he was 16 years old, until his retirement in 1989, Long worked for the Canadian National Railway, and in this book takes a look at the history of the railway, as well as detailing his involvement with it. Contains considerable information on the South Devon yards, where Long spent much of his working life. With many old photographs, some unpublished until this book, and extensive lists of those who worked for the railway from 1886 until 1995, this should be of much interest to genealogists researching family members involved at the time, as well as those seeking information on railways in the Maritimes. Size: 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
