[x], 7-111, [2] pp. Bound in publisher's red cloth-backed boards lettered in red, printed spine label. Near Fine with light wear to title label and boards. Scarce, especially signed. Klüver's monograph was the first work in English to study the psychoactive compounds of mescal, which the author performed on himself by conducting a series of experiments which included ingesting mescal "buttons" (the dried tops of the peyote cactus). He coined the term "cobweb figure" in the 1920s to describe one of the four form constant geometric visual hallucinations experienced in the early stage of a mescaline trip.
