Fine in a near fine dust jacket with a few small closed tears and light fading to spine. A tight, clean copy. Octavo, 177 pages. SIGNED (name only) by the author on the front endpaper. A collection of sardonic essays and observations on New York life, manners, and modern absurdities, "Metropolitan Life" established Fran Lebowitz's reputation as a sharp, urbane wit in the tradition of Dorothy Parker.
