Stated first edition. 5" x 7 3/4" hardcover bound in black cloth with gold spine lettering. 277 pages plus an eight page publisher's catalog at the rear. A Near Fine copy. Rubs to the corners and spine tips. T he spine lettering is bright. There is some tanning to the spine. Ther e are a few small dust spots to the outer edges of the page block but content is otherwise Fine. No dj. The author's first book. Signed and inscribed by Stapledon to fellow author Aage Marcus on the front fly a s follows: "A. Marcus/from/Olaf Stapledon/4th April 1934".
