First Edition (first printing). A presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper to the influential critic Hugh Gordon Porteus and dated the year of publication ("To H. G. P. June 1954. David Wright"), and with a single pencilled correction in the text. Slim 8vo. 42pp. Paper-covered boards. Top edge fractionally spotted, and with just a trace of wear to one or two extremities. Very good indeed in quite lightly rubbed and dust soiled non-price-clipped dust wrapper. Twenty-nine poems, the author's second collection of verse.
