Mosaic of Mexican History. [Text in English]. Signed by author Diego Garcia Loya. [1958] first edition; Editorial Cultura; good or better vintage softcover with heavy-stock wraps. Inscribed by author on dedication page. Two additional ephemeral items tipped in. First, a signed note from Phillips Brooks, a cultural affairs officer with the United States Foreign Service, which is a wing of the US Department of State. Officer Brooks praises the author Loya for his work. Additionally, there s a signed note from Richard G. Cushing, Foreign Service Deputy Public Affairs Officer, in which Cushing commends the work for its groundbreaking approach re: surveying the history of Mexico with an English text. He mentions that this text will in part work to make Mexican history accessible to English speakers in the United States. Wraps show typical mild wear from use and storage. Some toning and rubbing; wear to extremities and spine. Binding is square; text is tidy. Perhaps some normal age-toning; generally clean and crisp. Seller Inventory # 22041
