New York: William Morrow & Company, 1957. First Edition. Bookplate signed by John Ehle loosely laid in at front. Octavo. 314 pp. Illustrated dust jacket. Blue and tan boards stamped in yellow. Unclipped dust jacket chipped and creased along edges with general spotting. Boards soiled and spotted with moderate edgewear. Binding is sound. Foxing and staining to edges of text block and endpapers; previous owner's inscription to front pastedown; interior else unmarked. A Very Good copy in a Very Good minus dust jacket. Author's first novel.
