Red cloth boards with gilt title to front cover. Particulars in gilt to spine. Small single nick to head of spine. Poem about Gladstone by Lowell; the first two stanzas typed the last in manuscript, signed J.R. Lowell, July, 1886. Poem is attached to the painted front fly obverse. To the reverse is attached a Boston Herald clip from May, 28, 1893 relating to home rule in Ireland. Clip had bled over to half title which has additional manuscript observations about Gladstone. A handsome copy with bright gilt. ; 12mo; [xi], 253,24 pages; Signed by Contributor; All shipments through USPS insured Priority Mail. Seller Inventory # 2747
