FIRST EDITION softcover is in FAIR condition, having many pages loose due to poor binding technique (but all pages are there); book is INSCRIBED BY FORREST J ACKERMAN in red ink on half-title page: "For Bruce Monsterifically Forry Ackerman"; book was part of the research library of Daniel Flannery's Theoria Prouctions, and has a library classification number taped to bottom of spine. Flannery is an award-winning production designer of film, television, and the stage. Ackerman, original editor of "Famous Monsters of Filmland," has written the preface to the book and the captions of the photographs. Book is illustrated with myriad b&w photographs from rare and in some cases lost films, as well as unusual photos from more familiar horror/fantasy/science fiction films, as well as many photographs of the people behind the films. Introduction by horror titan Stephen King whom Ackerman gave some of his earliest exposure. Performing arts. Cinema. DB.
