The Music of My Heart

Palmer & Howe 1889 1st edn hardback. Boards are quite marked and spine sunned. Rubbing to extremities. Gilt fore-edges. Original lime endpapers. Inscription to front endpaper reads "To the Right Hon. The Earl of Iddesleigh & in admiration of "The Blameless Life" of his father. AB 13th May 1889" The Iddesleigh title was created in 1885 for the first earl who was the Foreign Secretary. He died in 1887 and the recipient of the book inherited the title. Given the date of the inscription I think it is reasonable to assume that "AB" is the Author. Binding is firm but shows slight straining at pages 167-8. Light foxing at prelims otherwise generally clean and bright throughout. Good. No jacket.
