1st Edition 1947. Illustrated by J Abbey. The fifth mystery novel. Signed by the author. Wonderful Provenance: Joyce Clark, thence by descent. Joy Clark born 1937 grew up in Beaconsfield with her parents Isabella and Cecil Clark. The Clark's ran an ironmonger's shop in the town and Enid Blyton was a regular customer. For many years whenever one of her books was published, Blyton would kindly sign and give a book to Joy, who was a small child at the time. Book is very good++ and bright. Contents average with a number of illustrations coloured in. Wrapper is good++ and quite bright. Small loss to spine tips and rear edge. Edges rubbed, nicked, creased and with small closed tears. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive.
