Plates: two steel engraving frontispieces, with light foxing; 38 wood engravings plus numerous tail-pieces; two photolithographs (tinted); six maps. Laid in at the end is a detached folding spherical map (extraneous origin) in b/w, "The Arctic Regions|Comprising the Most Recent Explorations of Robert F. Peary, Fridtjof Nansen and F.
