Birmenmayer was Associate Professor of Slavic Languages at Penn State University. Signed presentation from Birkenmayer on the title page, to his superior: "To Joe Paternost with best wishes! Sigmund Birkenmayer." Paternost was Professor Emeritus of Slavic Languages at Penn State. Very Good (light crease to first several pages; contents clean & tight); worn (lower one-inch missing along base of the front panel & few tears) d/j.
