Of a total edition of @250 SIGNED copies, this is one of an unspecified number of "standard run" copies printed on "handmade paper from India. Little to no effort was made to sort out of the edition bifolios that varied in print quality due to irregularities in the handmade paper. Most copies have been bound by Julie Leonard." The 25 fifteen-line sections that comprise this single long poem are printed recto with original calligraphic marks by Cheryl Jacobsen printed in blue on verso and along the end pages. Philip Levine (1928-2015) won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1995, the Ruth Lillly Poetry Prize in 1987, and was named the Poet Laureate of the United States for 2011-2012; this publication by the Sutton Hoo Press features a long poem by Levine with calligraphic marks by Cheryl Jacobsen running through each page. This volume is the deluxe edition and comes in a clamshell box. ___DESCRIPTION: This copy one of the special edition of 13 copies lettered in Greek, with a special binding and housed in a black clamshell box made by Judi Conant (out of a total print run of 200 plus artist's proofs).
