First edition of the Nobel Prize-winning author's first book. Octavo, original cloth. Lengthily inscribed by Thomas Schelling on the title page. Light rubbing to the bottom cloth, near fine in the rare dust jacket with light wear. Thomas Schelling served with the Marshall Plan in Europe, the White House, and the Executive Office of the President from 1948 to 1953. He wrote much of his dissertation on national income behavior working at night while in Europe.
