Edition limited to 450 copies, this one of 225 copies printed for the Windhover Press, 12mo, pp. [16]; wood engraving by Peter Reddick; fine copy in original green cloth-backed paper-covered boards. From the library of Kim Merker. Berger, Printing and the Mind of Merker, 71: "I printed this for the Gruffyground Press and the Windhover Press. It was issued in two different bindings. I had the Windhover copies hardbound, while Gruffyground issued its copies in wrappers. Little fragments of dirt in the Japanese paper punched holes in the wood engraving, which I printed from the block. Anthony Baker, the proprietor of the Gruffyground Press, thought I had ruined the block on purpose. Acrimonious correspondence followed, and I have never spoke to the man since.". Soft cover. Condition: Good. The Gruffyground Press, 1978. Soft cover. Signed by author and illustrator. Condition: Good. There is light bumping to the corners and top and tail of the spine. A small crease across the lower corners, closest to the spine on the front and back covers. There are a few very small spots of foxing along the textblock that have bled slightly onto the pages. The page edges are rough, though this appears to be intentional. Pages are uncut aside from the ffep and the corresponding page at the rear. It is on this rear page page that the signatures appear in pencil. Signed by Author(s). Seller Inventory # 002063
