E. Luther Copeland is a retired missionary and professor of missions. He served as a missionary in Japan from 1948–1956 and again from 1975–1981. He spent over twenty years as Professor of Christian Mission and World Religions at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Copeland and his wife, Louise, currently reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
