Sir Nicholas Winton (1909-2015) was a British stockbroker that aided in the rescue of Jewish children who were at risk of capture and death by Nazi Germany during the Holocaust. While on a trip to Prague, he volunteered to work with the Czechoslovak Refugee Committee and saved 669 children from 1938 to 1939. Winton's heroic actions during the war, and his prolific humanitarian career after its conclusion, have been adapted into a film titled One Life, starring Anthony Hopkins. Seller Inventory # 14645
