Contemporary half brown leather binding, raised gilt bands lettering on spine, marbled boards. Original white eps. Author's signature + later Signature " Major General Nelson with address on fep. Stuck down on rear blanks 6 page newspaper[er cutting " The Prussian Army " Aug 12 '66 ", another 1 page similar at front. Some pencil corrections in margins by author. Covers : rubs top/bottom of spine, few crimps in marble, scuff to lettering on spine. Contents : slight browning to pages else clean. Clean tight copy with some browning. VG.

We describe our books very carefully.
Every description ends with a declaration of overall condition - for example, F/VG means the book is fine condition with no faults and the dust wrapper is very good condition, complete and no significant loss although there may be a few slight marks or even some very minor chips.
The discription may be softened slightly for much older books.
We do accept payment by Sterling cheque.
We accept PayPal direct - please send to books@deightons.com.
We no longer accept credit cards direct, although you can pay by credit card using the PayPal facility.
Packing and postage is charged extra at cost, Royal Mail first class or MyHermes in the UK only.
In general, we do not send books on approval although exceptions can sometimes be made.
Condition is described as accurately as possible, but if you are dissatisfied, the book may be returned
within ten days of receipt.
