Bound by Minos, Paris in 3/4 green morocco with marbled sides and endpapers, t.e.g., the spines with gilt titles and gilt floral decorations with onlays, original wrappers bound in. Later expanded to 12 volumes. Most libraries searched hold only scattered volumes of this important edition. With the bookplates of Serbia's first foreign minister to France after World War I (?). With an AUTOGRAPHED LETTER SIGNED by Valery laid in. Spines evenly faded to mellow brown and with minor rubbed spots, all quite sound and presentable, contents fine First edition.
