John L. Conover has served for twenty-one years as a District Court Judge in a typical Midwest American state, Michigan. For twenty years prior to becoming a judge, he was a private practice attorney. His jurisdiction, ranging from a small rural community to the number one crime city in America: Flint, Michigan, has given him first-hand involvement from farm animal disputes to child torture and murder cases. Because of his wonderful sense of humor, quick wit and wisdom in dispensing tough but fair rulings, Judge Conover has become a much-loved judge, speaker and community activist.
Karen D. Conover has been a lifelong educator. She taught High School English for many years and finished her formal teaching career with ten years teaching at the college level. She was a column writer for her local newspaper in which she practiced her style of presenting the Conover humorous view of the world.
