Previous owner's gift inscription on the front free endpaper. In the publisher's first state dust jacket, $9.95 retail price on front flap, bright illustration. (Younger, 83A) Inscribed on the copyright page: "for Betty Lou / (who is much too young to be reading stuff like this.) / Dr. Seuss." Published by Random House in 1986, You're Only Old Once! was released late in Geisel's career and follows an elderly patient through a variety of humorous medical procedures.
