A Fine copy in a Fine dust jacket.The book is in excellent condition, clean, no marks, not remaindered. Boards show no wear, no bumps, lettering on spine is bright, no wear. The binding is tight and square. The deckle fore-edge is lightly toned. The dark blue stained top edge is even with no sign of fading. The pages are clean with slight toning, no writing, no bookplates or other previous owner signs.The original dust jacket is bright with no fading. It has not been clipped with the publisher's original price of $4.95 on the front flap and "9/68" printed at the bottom. A ¾ inch closed tear on the top front and light wear to the spine ends are the only visible flaws. The jacket is now protected in a Brodart protective cover.This is a beautiful copy of McCarthy's second novel following The Orchard Keeper .
