About this Item
An unread copy of the 16th Baldwin and Simon medieval mystery, signed 'Michael Jecks' to the title page. On their return from Spain Baldwin and Simon are shipwrecked, both being washed ashore on different islands, Simon on Ennor and Baldwin on St. Nicholas. Ranulph, the master of the castle, demands the Simon help investigate the murder of a hated tax collector. Ranulph wages a constant war against the godless, lawless peasants who inhabit St. Nicholas and, convinced of their guilt demands retribution. Meanwhile Baldwin uncovers a very different picture as he too begins to investigate the murder. As Baldwin and Simon's parallel investigations bring them closer to the truth, they become embroiled in the bitter rivalry between the two island communities. Seller Inventory # 000842
