This book contains 40 stories within its 299 pages, twelve of which were previously published in the New Yorker and one in Story. The condition is Very Good. The pages are clean and free of all marks, tears and folds. There is an inscription by the author on the ffl: For Margaret Byrnes, Who has a book. With my love, Thyra. The green cloth cover is clean but the spine is somewhat faded. The corners show slight shelf wear but the binding is tight.
