Octavo, xii, 241pp. Blue cloth, title in gilt over blue ink on spine, black signature on front panel. Lacking "first edition" statement on copyright page, with "L-H" date code. Solid text block, faint sunning along top edge, previous ownership bookplate remnants to front endpaper. In the publisher's very good dust jacket, $4.00 on front flap, toning to spine, a very good example. (Edens B24) Signed on the title page by the author in black pen. On My Own, by former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt, follows her life after the death of her husband, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in 1945. It details her time as a delegate to the United Nations, chairperson of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and a political activist for Democratic causes throughout the United States. It was one of the last publications of Mrs. Roosevelt, before her death in 1962. Seller Inventory # 14460
