First edition. 270 pp. The author, born in 1896, was an educator, poet, and essayist. Not an autobiography, per se, but the author's observations on music, travel, people he had met, including former students and teachers, and, since he had been a Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University for many years, his narrative is naturally sprinkled with thoughts and ideas from his years of study and teaching in that discipline.

I try and get books out same day as order comes in and love it when someone writes that they's been looking for a book for years and finally found it with me!
