A chatty letter about "the spotsman owned thoroughbred fast becoming overruled by thoroughbred industrialists" & the readyness of three year olds to race with references to equine physiology. An interesting item. Contains a plea to eliminate early training of horses so that they are not broken down at an early age. Includes: They Deserve Better Treatment, Early Days of a Thoroughbred, The Significance of Early. (Horse Racing, The Turf, Flat Thoroughbred Bloodstock), etc.
