First edition. SIGNED by Welty on title page. Illustrated with drawings by Joe Krush. Very good with four light tape shadows on paper boards and rear endpaper a little rumpled with a shallow stain along outside edge and evidence of something removed near top. (Perhaps ex-library but there are no other signs.) In a near fine dust jacket with two inconspicuous tears and minor soiling to rear panel which is just slightly darkened along the lower edge.
