Black boards with gilt lettering on spine. End papers are toned with discoloration along paste downs near glue lines. Inscription by author "For Frances Post" on the FFEP. This inscription bled a bit to the opposite SDJ flap. Pages are clean. Bottom of the text block has some slight soiling. The DJ has chinks out at the top rear and a 1" tear at the top of the front panel with wear and chipping at the DJ corners. This book smells musty.
