Presumed association copy inscribed by author (without last name) to Walter Scott Willis in blue ink on front free end paper; inscription reads, "Merry Christmas, Walter, with best wishes. Mary Ellen". Smudges to ink in the words Christmas and best. Hardcover book in very good condition, with aqua cloth boards and dark blue cloth spine; gilt lettering on spine and small gilt stamped PP abbreviation on front board; light foxing to edges; Willis's personal book plate affixed to front paste down; binding tight and copy clean. Dust jacket in good condition; heavy linen decorated stock; heavily toned at spine; two tiny chips to lower edge of rear flap; soiling to upper edge of face near spine; soiling to upper edge of rear panel near spine; corresponding blue ink smudge at far interior edge of front flap. 20110034, 8 oz, S-7.
