Sonnichsen's inscription reads "For Mr. And Mrs. Laurence Stevens with our gratitude and good wishes. C. L. Sonnichsen." Carl Hertzog signed below Sonnichsen. Laid into the book is a card printed by Carl Hertzog containing a quote by Wordsworth. Also laid into the book is a newspaper editorial clipping from the El Paso Herald-Post announcing the publication of this book. Book illustrated by Jose Cisneros. Designed and printed by Carl Hertzog at his Texas Western Press. The definitive history of El Paso and Juarez starting in 1571.
