This appears to be the authors first book, and published at the age of 17, at the end of the book it is noted ".and by the time he's eighteen, he will complete his second novel." This volume is inscribed by Sebastian to his grandparents on the front free end paper. The inside's of the paper covers are decorated with an Escher like image in black-and-white. The paper covers have some tears at the spine bottom, and at the top at the fold to the front cover. The back cover shows wear, and it appears a layer or two of the paper of the cover are missing at the lower right corner near the spine. The page corners show some curling, bends, folds. The spine is sunned. The interior of this volume is clean and bright, and without rips, tears, highlighting, underlining or marginalia. The spine is not creased and the volume remains tightly bound.
