Original gilt lettered blue cloth over beveled boards, black coated endpapers (spine a bit sunned and slightly skewed). Provenance: Vincent Powell Smith (1939 1997), bookplate of the English author; J.W. Graupar? (early ownership signature dated 1894). Rare first edition, with a presentation inscription by "the author".
