Limited to 100 numbered copies Signed by Kathleen Tankersley Young (of a total edition of 110 copies). Issued as Pamphlet Four in "Pamphlet Series One." Prints a cycle of three stories: "The Pepper Trees," "The City Under the Mountains," and "Winter Lie Down in This Street." According to the Princeton University Library Manuscript Division citation for their Kathleen Tankersley Young correspondence: "Kathleen Tankersley Young was an African-American poet, active during the Harlem Renaissance. She served as an editor for The Modern Editions Press [which also published Paul Bowles' rare first book, *Two Poems*], and co-editor of *Blues: A Magazine of New Rhythms*. Young died unexpectedly in April 1933 as per the September 1933 issue of *Latin Quarterly*. Seller Inventory # 499731
