Add to basketInscribed on the front endpaper by the author to Victor H. Metcalf, secretary of Commerce and Labor, in Washington, D.C; Also, a brief lpresentation letter from the author is pasted in. A very curious book, Iwhich attempts to explain mysterious phenomena reported by polar explorers by postulating that the Earth is in fact hollow, with holes at its poles. The theory, of course, became obsolete not long after, when the first explorers reached the north and south poles. Cover speckled at spine and edges, else very good.
