Add to basketSigned by Myhrvold with a short inscription. Photography by Myhrvold and the Cooking Lab team. The beauty of food through hundreds of striking and unusual large photographs, plus descriptions at the back that explain the stories, techniques and science behind each photo, as well as a look at the special equipment and techniques the Cooking Lab uses to create its spectacular images and culinary inventions. The book includes tips on framing and shooting professional quality photographs of food. Very large, heavy hardcover, 13.5x16.5 inches, 300 pages, decorative endpapers and high quality glossy paper. A stunningly produced book with almost magical images. Inscribed by Myhrvold to the late Seattle attorney Stan Barer and his wife -- a rare thing, as Myhrvold has signed very few of his books. Myhrvold worked for 13 years in various executive positions at Microsoft, including chief technology officer. He received a culinary diploma from Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in France and has has won several awards for his books on cuisine. Very good plus condition. Heavy, weighs 12 pounds. ** Will require extra postage.
