Bound in attractively illustrated boards, in two shades of red, with gilt gun, sword and whip motif. Lionel Edwards has written in pencil on the free front endpaper, " With the artist's best wishes for Xmas,1913" : no actual signature! 12 colour plates by Edwards, 4 B/W Plates, 19 other plates and figures. Minor abrasions to boards, slightly creased spine at top and tail.Two or three pin-hole sized holes in cloth ar rear exterior hinge. Corners worn, small red stain on rear endpapers. Engraved bookplate of Victor Sefton-Smith to fixed front endpaper. Clean endpaper, wide margins, good rag paper. Author's theme to show hunting as preparation for the army.
