A large volume bound in gilt cloth, which is unevenly faded. Contains 25 plates, some occasional foxing. A Presentation copy from the author, inscribed to a family member. "Fanny Foster from Birket Foster Christmas 1889". The writing is smudged, but legible. The bookplate, apparently designed by Rudolf Junk for Fanny Foster is on the front pastedown. A nice tight clean copy of a handsomely produced book, other than the faded cloth.
