Graham, a prominent New Mexico geologist and Director of the U.S. Bureau of Mines (she was the first female & African-American director, appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1994, the year of publication). As both Graham and Graf served together on the National Research Council's Board on Earth Sciences and Resources, this volume shows a personal link between two of the era's most influential figures in Western water & environmental policy. First edition w/full number line. Near fine hardcover w/slight wear incl. a couple of ink spots on front board & light sunning else excellent, tight, crisp white pages, no marks.
