About this Item

Hardcover in Near-Fine condition, small thin 8vo. Green cloth, gilt-stamped titles and border, frontis protrait, cloth place marker. Light wear, some tanning of leaves. Warmly inscribed by author on half-title, also attached to title page are notes apparently in the hand of Hayward (note initials and compare handwriting). Laid in are to newspaper clippings about Hayward supplied by Romeike & Curtis, a news clipping service (the "search engine" of 100 years ago). Uncommon volume. Bookseller accession no.: DG497. Hayward, 1892-1964 was an Irish travel writer, singer and actor, and a "damn bad poet" according to writer William Newman. This is his second volume of poetry.
