40pp. The author's first published book of poetry. Inscribed in pen by him to Thomas Malory on ffep, "Who was for some time happily married to his beloved Pif. And because both of them succeeded in making the best of a bad job out of such a marriage." Also inscribed on ffep is pencil note "NFS AT's copy". [Not For Sale]. The book is from the private collection of Alan Tucker, former bookseller of Stroud, Gloucestershire. Publishers' 28th book in The Fortune Poets series. Red cloth covered boards with slightly faded gilt lettering on spine. Hint of damp mark to cloth on front and rear covers. Light grey end papers. Untrimmed fore edge and lower page edges with slight foxing to the page edges. Single dirt spot to lower margin of title page. Printed by Knole Park Press Ltd, Sevenoaks. Unclipped pink dust jacket with black lettering. Sun faded spine with black lettering. damp spotting to front and inside dust jacket. Shelf wear to top and tail of spine and top corners. Tiny chip to top of spine. Laid in is an extract from The Poetry Review (undated) which refers to this book. All now protected in archival wraps to give attractive presentation. My particular interests are illustrated Private Press and modern Poetry. I also have a collection of Prospectuses and similar ephemera.
