About this Item

This softcover copy of A Poet's Guide to the Bars previously belonged to the actor Harry Dean Stanton and this book is inscribed to Mr. Stanton by the author on the dedication page. I am including a photo of the ID cards that came with his books. It is a First Edition and is in Near Fine condition. The spine is tight and the pages are clean and bright, except for the inscription. I found no tears or other markings in the book. The spine has not been creased. There is no dust jacket as it is a paperback. Please see the photos. This book comes from a smoke free home. I will ship it with Media Mail through USPS within two days of receiving the order, usually sooner. It will be wrapped very carefully. If you need Priority, let me know and I will work up a quote. After 33 years teaching young children to read and helping them discover the joy and pleasure a book holds, I am now working on sharing that joy with adults. Standard shipping rate of $4.49 to all US addresses for one book up to 3 pounds. Heavier items will be calculated based on weight and location. All books or magazine are shipped using either Media Mail or Bound Printed Material through the US Post Office. All packages are shipped within 2 days, usually sooner. If there is a need for a rapid shipment, contact me for Priority Mail shipping.
Most books are wrapped in protective layers and padded envelopes. Books of a greater value or heavier weight are carefully packaged in a cardboard box. Any book can be sent in a Priority Mail box at an increased shipping cost. Magazines and some soft cover books are shipped with a cardboard insert to discourage folding.
