First edition, signed issue. Introduction by Willard Van Dyke. Quarto. 144pp. Illustrated. Fine in fine dust jacket. This issue limited to 20 numbered copies and designated "Milwaukee Center For Photography Limited Edition" Signed by Steiner: "Ralph Steiner. February 8, 1978 (my 79th birthday)" and stating in ink holograph: "19/20 Milwaukee Center for Photography Limited Edition." Included is an original 10" x 8" gelatin silver print of photo the "Saratoga Coal Company" which is reproduced on page 52 of this volume. Measuring 8" x 10". Signed and dated on the verso of photograph in ink holograph (stating): "Ralph Steiner. Negative 1929. Printed 1977.".
