Antonia Susan Byatt (1990) Possession , UK first edition, first impression, published by Chatto & Windus. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page in black ink: "For Angus from AS Byatt". Condition: near fine in like dust jacket. As usual, toning to the cheap paper stock commensurate with age. Light pulling from the page block to top spine due to weight. Very light shelf wear. No foxing and no slant. The first state dust jacket is not clipped and displays the correct price of GBP 13.95 and bears no reference to the Booker Prize. Byatt (1936 2023) won the Booker Prize for this novel, and it was adapted as a film starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Aaron Eckhart. First and Fine.
