With an ALS signed by De Vinne laid in. Near Fine, lacking the jacket. Brown buckram, lightly rubbed, with a red pastedown label on the spine. Square and firmly bound with a gilt top edge, clean internally. The second volume in De Vinne's Practice of Typography, an influential guide that gave some consistency to American typesetting.
