1st Edition. 8vo. pp. 286; illustrations. Very Good in rubbed and chipped dust wrapper. Presentation copy inscribed "With all Good Wishes to Tom Collett (sic) from Wal Hannington Jan' 1951." With Tom Collet's bookplate. The rare trade edition of a title more commonly seen as the limp cloth Left Book Club edition. Wal Hannington was one of the founders of the Communist Party of Great Britain, National Organiser for the National Unemployed Workers' Movement and later for the Amalgamated Engineering Union.
