Very clean blue-gray cloth boards with small blind-stamped decoration, black stamped lettering on cover and spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Signed by the author on front free endpaper: "To Mrs. J. H. Martin with the best wishes of her friend, George Barr McCutcheon - 23 Sept - 1921." Beautiful color frontispiece illustration by C. Allan Gilbert. 335 pages.
