Octavo, 512pp, [5]. Bound in full rust-colored leather with raised bands and gilt decoration. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers with a silk bookmark. Signed by John Updike on a tipped-in leaf. Privately printed for members of the Signed First Edition Society. This edition preceded the Alfred A. Knopf trade edition. Rabbit at Rest won the 1991 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
